Probe ordered into tender

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran has ordered a probe into alleged irregularities regarding tenders called for river protection works in the Alappuzha division of the Irrigation Department. The Minister has ordered that all further action on the Rs. 3-crore tender be kept in abeyance. It has been alleged that tenders were going to be awarded for non-existent work. —Special Correspondent
