DU students meet Arjun Singh

NEW DELHI: A delegation of seven students from Delhi University met Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh at his residence here on Saturday demanding nullification of the September 16 written examination for recruitment of policemen since some of those appearing in the paper had allegedly molested girl students on the campus.

“We apprised him of the whole case and gave him a memorandum on our main demand. He heard us out sympathetically and said he would discuss the issue with Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil. He has asked us to come back on Sunday at 12 noon when he would tell us what will be done in this matter,” said Maya John, a member of the delegation drawn from the Joint Action Committee of the University.
