Businessman dies in accident

BANGALORE: M.K. Sandeep (24), son of Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Commissioner M.K. Shankaralinge Gowda, died in a road accident in Chikmagalur district on Saturday.

Mr. Sandeep, an engineer-turned-businessman, and his seven friends were going to Jog Falls in a sports utility vehicle when the accident occurred between Kortikere Cross and Doddagatta Cross, between Birur and Tarikere, around 11 a.m., the police said.

Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has mourned the death of Mr. Sandeep.
