Shimla: A trekker died of heart failure while returning from Yunum pass in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahual and Spiti, police said on Sunday. “Mountaineer Ashok Pal, hailing from West Bengal’s Hoogly district, died of heart attack on Friday but his body was recovered by the police on Sunday,” Superintendent of Police of Lahual-Spiti, K.K. Indora said over phone. Pal (53), who was part of a four-member Hoogly adventure club team, died of heart attack triggered by breathlessness due to lack of oxygen at a height that is witnessing almost zero degree temperature nowadays, the SP said.
