Bagpat(U.P.): Angry over the death of a new-born, an enraged mob on Sunday set a nursing home on fire and blocked the National Highway, compelling authorities to use force to disperse them and clear the blockade, police said. The trouble started when a new born died in a nursing home late on Saturday night, they said, adding that family members alleged that the infant died due to negligence of the doctors. Angry over this, the mob set the nursing home ablaze and ransacked it. They also blocked the National highway and resorted to stone pelting when police tried to disperse them, they said. A case had been registered and the matter was being investigated, police said, adding additional force had been deployed in the area to maintain order.
