Mob sets nursing home ablaze after baby’s death
Bagpat (Uttar Pradesh): Angry over the death of a new-born a , mob on Sunday set a nursing home on fire and blocked the national highway, compelling authorities to use force to disperse them and clear the blockade, police said.
The trouble started when a new-born died in a nursing home on Saturday.The police said family members alleged that the infant died due to negligence of the doctors.
The mob set the nursing home ablaze and ransacked it. They also blocked the national highway and resorted to stone-pelting when police tried to disperse them, they said.
A case had been registered and the matter was being investigated, the police said, adding additional forces had been deployed in the area to maintain order. — PTI
