IOC official stabbed

LAKHIMPUR-KHERI (UP): A sales officer of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) was attacked on Sunday by unidentified persons, who forcibly entered into his house, the police said.

Four persons entered Brijendra Vikram Singh’s (28) rented flat in Machlikothi area here on Sunday evening and stabbed him, they said.

Mr. Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

The police has not ruled out involvement of some petrol dealer behind the attack. — PTI
