TSPA grabs day’s honours

CHENNAI: TSPA grabbed a major chunk of the day’s honours by winning the team titles in the sub-junior section and the girls’ section in the junior category in the State triathlon championship here on Sunday. In the junior girls’ section, the team winner was CAC. K. Premnath (TSPA) and B. Praveena Devi (CAC) emerged the winners in the junior category, while N. Aravind (TSPA) and S. Dharshini (CAC) were the respective winners in the sub-junior section.

The results: Juniors: Boys: 1. K. Premnath (TSPA) 1:05.35s; 2. G. Mohan (Chen Corp); 3. Muthu Kumar (TSN). Girls: 1. B. Praveen Devi (CAC) 1:23.43; 2. Swathi Naidu (CAC); 3. Preethi Naidu (CAC).

Sub-juniors: Boys: 1. N. Aravind (TSPA) 25:51.00; 2. S. Sarath Kumar (SDAT Angel); 3. K. Nandha Kumar (SDAT Angel). Girls: 1. S. Dharshini (CAC) 29:49.00; 2. G. Saranya (TSPA); 3. C. Lavanya (SDAT Anna).
