Chief Minister pays tributes to Gandhiji

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 138th birth anniversary on October 2. In a message, Dr. Reddy described Gandhiji as a multi-faceted genius and a beacon light of sustainable peace to humanity.

Naidu’s message

Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu has hailed the decision of United Nations to observe Gandhi Jayanti as International Day of Non-Violence.

BJP protest

Rendition of Gandhiji’s favourite bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghava Rajaram’ and ‘Sundarakanda parayanam’ will be undertaken by BJP leaders during their dharnas at 26 places across the State on October 2 to protest against the withdrawn affidavit on Rama Setu and remarks of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunandhi against Lord Ram.
