Ramanagaram: Commenting that the political situation has been “contaminated” and genuine talents have been ignored, the Congress MP representing Kanakapura Lok Sabha constituency Tejaswini Gowda was all praise for the “achievements” of the Janata Dal (Secular) in the urban local body elections despite “adversities”. Ms. Gowda, who defeated the JD(S) president H.D. Deve Gowda in the last elections, was speaking at the inauguration of the new court building and district and sessions court here on Monday. The results of the election had shown that “there is something wrong in our system. The emphatic victory of the JD(S) has posed a challenge to the Congress. The pattern and pragmatic aspects of the election results are worth an academic study,” she added.
