CHENNAI: Lyricist Pa.Vijay will act in a film for which Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has written the script. The inaugural pooja of the film will be held October 20 at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The film is directed by Bali Srirangam, who is a gold medallist from the Film and Television Institute in Chennai, and the lyrics are written by Vaali. Vidyasagar has scored the music. K.P. Narayanan, J. Suthanantham and Pa.Vijay are producing the movie.
Pa.Vijay said he was happy to act in a movie written by Mr. Karunanidhi. “I must thank the Chief Minister for allowing me to act in the film. He wrote it some years ago, and it is suitable for the present situation. The name of our film company is Kalainagar Vellithirai and the title of the film is “Thai Kaviyam”. The story revolves around two heroines with mother sentiment as its background.”
Pa.Vijay began writing with the film “Gnanapazham”, directed by K. Bhagyaraj. ‘Ovoru Pookalume’ from “Autograph” is one of his best known songs.
