KOLLAM: Three new projects of the Tsunami Emergency Assistance Programme (TEAP) being implemented through the Matsyafed will be inaugurated by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan at a function to be held at the Puthenthura IRE Grounds near here on October 3. The first project is the launch of 300 vehicles for women from the fishing community to transport fish to markets. Nearly 1,800 women will benefit from the scheme. The second project is the fish kiosks. Under this project, 45 kiosks will be opened in the nine coastal districts of the State. Seafood kitchen is the third project. The project will be a chain of outlets for fish curries and other value-added fish products. The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation for three development projects in the Karunagapally Taluk area on October 3. The Kallumoottil Kadavu Bridge, the Ochira Drinking Water scheme and the building for the KSRTC bus station are the projects, Karunagapally Tahasildar M. Vishwanathan said.
