THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Athul Krishna (Kozhikode) and C.H. Meghna (Ernakulam) won the boy’s and girl’s titles respectively in the State under-11 chess championship at the Sri Shankacharya Sanskrit University hall here on Tuesday. Athul Krishna won the title with six points in the seven round event. Though second placed Amir Asim also got six points, Athul Krishna won the title for having better progressive score. Vishu Gopakumar of Ernakulam finished third with 5.5 points. In the girls’ section, C.H. Meghna won all the five rounds to finish with five points. Thiruvananthapuram’s S.N. Parvathy (four points) and S.G. Archa (3.5 points) came second and third respectively.
