BANGALORE: Vijaya Bank overcame its old adversary HAL 59-32 in the men’s semifinal league for the JSC Cup State-level floodlit invitation basketball tournament at the Corporation stadium courts, Jayanagar here this evening. Vijaya Bank, HAL, MEG and ASC had made it to the semifinal league in the morning. In the women’s section, IBBC, host JSC, South Western Rly. And Vivek SC are in the last four league. IBBC and South Western Rly won their matches against Vivek SC and JSC respectively. The results: Men: Vijaya Bank 59 (Roshan 22, Murli Mohan 15) bt HAL 32 (Umashankar 13). Knock-out: HAL 67 (Rajkumar 22, Sachindra 18, Umashankar 10) bt Ambedkar SC 54 (Karan 18, Shreyas 10); MEG 54 (Manoj 14) bt Young Orions SC 21; ASC 64 (Dharampal 12, Gautham 10) bt JSC 54 (Alok 23, Kaushal 15); Vijaya Bank 70 (Dev Kumar 14, Ronny 11) bt Koramanagala SC 40 (Abhishek 17).
