Gram sabha meetings held

PERAMBALUR: Gram sabha meetings were held in all the 322 village panchayats in the district on Tuesday.

Villagers reviewed the on-going rural developmental works under schemes such as the Sampoorna Gram Rojgar Yojana scheme and Total Rural Sanitation programme.

District Collector Anil Meshram visited Veppanthattai village and inspected the proceedings of Gram sabha meeting.

Village panchayat president M. Gunasekaran explained the progress of these programmes and the new works planned to be taken up in the village.

District Rural Development Agency Project Officer S. Iyyaru spoke.
