Thousands throng Bhadrachalam

Staff Reporter

BHADRACHALAM: Thousands of devotees thronged the temple town on Tuesday for ‘Kapila shasti’. Darshan of Lord Rama at Bhadradri on the occasion is considered to be of greater religious significance.

Devotees had a holy dip in the Godavari and made a beeline to the temple. Special poojas were performed in the early hours. The riverbank witnessed a flurry of activity with ‘Go puja’ – worship of the sacred cow – and rituals related to the occasion. Special bandobust was arranged at the bathing ghats. – Staff Reporter
