Action against BBMP official

BANGALORE: Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner S. Subramanya has recommended to the State Government to initiate action against Joint Director of Town Planning S.S. Topagi, who has been accused of having a nexus with builders and collecting lower building plan sanction fees from them.

“This has resulted in a revenue loss of more than Rs 1.64 crore to the BBMP in the past two years. A revenue audit has shown a shortfall in sanction fees collected from builders. I have recommended to the Government to initiate disciplinary action against him,” Mr. Subramanya told The Hindu on Tuesday.
