Task accomplished: A cricket enthusiast displays her tickets for the India-Australia one-day international scheduled to be held on Friday.

“I came here at five in the morning and to my surprise. But I knew I would get the tickets. Since each person is being given two tickets, I came with my friends. The crowd was so wild out here. For the first time I saw people objecting to the line being broken. ”

M. Srinivas,

A student from Mahabubnagar. “Dhoni has been leading the side with excellence. Maybe this is why all of us have come here to watch them play in person. Now that I’ve got the tickets, I hope they play their best.”

Arjun Rathod,

a resident of old city. “Utterly disappointed! We were so close to the counter when the tickets were sold out.

The moment they put up the ‘sold out’ sign, there was a moment of silence and then everyone started shouting. I guess I will have to watch the match at home.”

Sushil Kumar and Akshat Walia

Students “My efforts paid off. I’ve been in the line for the past four hours and I’ve managed to get my ticket to the one-dayer. Now I hope that the match will be a ‘paisa vasool’ one.”

Babitha,

Research Scholar, IICT
