VRCs to be launched

PUDUCHERRY: The Pondicherry Multipurpose Social Service Society (PMSS) plans to tie-up with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to launch village resource centres (VRC) in certain pockets of the Union Territory and in Cuddalore district, a release from PMSS said.

Two scientists from ISRO visited some of the coastal villages on September 26.

The centres are planned at Thavalakuppam in Puducherry region, Nedungadu in Karaikal region and Vadalur, Cuddalore Old Town, Periyapattu, Thurinchikollai and Koonankurichi in Cuddalore district. The centres would be connected with speciality health care providers through INSAT.
