HYDERABAD: Sweeping Success (Srinath up) won the Deccan Derby, the main event of the races held here on Tuesday. The winner is owned by Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy and trained by Ganapathy.

R. Surender Reddy was unanimously re-elected as Chairman and Senior Steward of the Hyderabad Race Club for the period 2007 to 2009. He was elected at a meeting of the members of the club’s managing committee. Former members T. Venkatram Reddy, Ashok Kumar and Hari Kishan Gupta were re-elected for the same period.
