Gandhi Jayanti observed

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Tuesday observed Gandhi Jayanti by organising ‘padayatras,’ honouring freedom fighters and holding commemorative meetings. The functions were organised under the auspices of the respective District Congress Committees and Mandalam Congress Committees. The State-level observations were inaugurated by KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala. The Nationalist Congress Party also observed Gandhi Jayanti by organising commemorative and prayer meetings under the leadership of its State president, K. Muraleedharan. — Special Correspondent
