New Delhi: Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s principle of non-violence, a freedom fighter, who marched along with Bapu during Quit India Movement in 1942, has launched a ‘Satyagraha’ to fight corruption. Freedom fighter S D Sharma, through his NGO “Gandhian Satyagraha Brigade”, had launched ‘Satyagraha’ on August 19 this year in front of the Rajghat asking government to take measures to tackle corruption in public life.
“We plan to intensify our efforts soon. If the government does not listen to us, we will begin daily fast followed by 24-hour relay fast and finally, indefinite fasts,” the 89-year-old Gandhian said.
