Boy found dead

NEW DELHI: A Class X student of Central School was electrocuted at Vasant Kunj here on Monday night. His body was discovered on Tuesday.

Went missing

Varun, whose father Arun Mukherjee is an Assistant Manager with the State Bank of India, went missing on Monday evening.

His relatives searched for him but to no avail after which his father reported the matter to the local police late at night.

He told the police that Varun had left his home saying he was going to a cyber café but he never returned.

The police launched a search operation for Varun. In the early hours of Tuesday they were informed about a body of a boy lying near an electric pole.

Victim

The condition of the body indicated that the victim came in contact with the pole and was electrocuted. He was soon identified as Varun.

Inquest proceedings have been initiated by the police and the body has been handed over to his family.
