BANGALORE: Armed men waylaid a businessman and robbed him of Rs. 10,000 cash and a mobile phone in Bharathinagar police station limits on Monday night. The police said that around 10.30 p.m., four persons, who came in a car, stopped Sanjay Ganapathi’s car near Kamaraj Road junction. They threatened Sanjay and robbed him of the cash and mobile phone worth Rs. 10,000. The Bharathinagar police have registered a case. Three killedThree persons were killed in as many road accidents in the city on Monday night. The police said Brown Jose was killed on the spot after a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus hit his motorcycle on Kempegowda Road. The Upparpet traffic police have registered a case. Mariyamma (74), a pedestrian, was killed after an autorickshaw knocked her down near her house in Chamarajpet around 10 p.m. The Basavanagudi traffic police have seized the vehicle and arrested the driver. In another incident, Padmanabha, a pedestrian, was killed after a two-wheeler hit him on Magadi Road, the police said. RecoveredThe Kadugodi police have arrested Mural Krishna (28) of Vellore district in Tamil Nadu on charges of vehicle theft and recovered from him 11 two-wheelers, together worth Rs. 4 lakh. The police said he had stolen the vehicles from Ulsoor, Indiranagar, Banaswadi, Ramamurthynagar and K.R. Puram police station limits.
