Foundation stone laid

BANGALORE: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for the new block of the Bangalore Police Commissioner’s office on Infantry Road.

After laying the foundation stone, Mr. Kumaraswamy told presspersons that as the existing building was too old, the new block was being constructed at a cost of Rs. 18 crore. The building would be constructed by the Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation. Home Minister M.P. Prakash, Minister for Health R. Ashok, Minister for Industries Katta Subramanya Naidu, legislators P.C. Mohan, B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan and Abdul Azeem, Chief Secretary Prahlad B. Mahishi, Director-General and Inspector-General of Police K.R. Sreenivasan and Director-General of Police and Chairman of Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation R. Srikumar were present.
