Ex-Law Secretary dead

BANGALORE: Former Law Secretary M.A. Srikrishna (94) passed away in Bangalore on Sunday night.

A B.Sc. graduate from Mysore University and a B.L. from Madras University, Srikrishna joined the services of judicial department and rose to the position of the Registrar of Resident’s court in British India. After the States’ reorganisation, he worked in the Law Department of the Government of Mysore, and retired as Joint Secretary and Chief Draftsman in 1973, after getting two extensions. Mr. Srikrishna was the author most legislation passed by the State of Mysore for over 20 years.
