Award for women SHGs

KANCHEEPURAM: Collector Pradeep Yadav presented the “Manimegalai” award and Rs. 50,000 to Kovur panchayat women self-help group federation here on Tuesday.

Mr. Yadav said all out efforts are being taken to improve literacy rate among women in the State. He also presented the award and Rs.10,000 [each] to Annai Theresa women SHG in Wallajabad panchayat union, Singaperumal Sigaram women SHG in Kattankolathur panchayat union and Nellikuppam women SHG in Tiruporur panchayat union, who were selected as award winners at the district-level.
