Pavakkulam Pongala tomorrow

KOCHI: The Pongala, an offering by devotees to goddess Parvati at the Pavakkulam Mahadeva temple, will be organised on October 5 from 10 a.m.. The hearths will be set up only on one side of the road from Kaloor to Palarivattom, so as to facilitate movement of vehicles, according to M.K. Ramachandran, patron of the Pongala Mahotsava Samithi. Insurance cover will be provided to those offering Pongala. Ambulances have been arranged to meet any contingency. – Staff Reporter
