BANGALORE: MEG cagers beat HAL 49-36 in the men’s super league for the JSC Cup State level floodlit basketball tournament on Wednesday.
MEG was well served by the gangling Subbaiah and the sprightly Sridhar with Loyld Anthony chipping in with some useful baskets. Rajkumar ploughed a lone furrow for the Aircraftmen.
IBBC and South Western Railway set up a title clash in the women’s section. Both teams registering two wins each in the semifinal league.
The results: Men: semifinal league: MEG 49 (Sridhar 16, Subbaiah 12, Anthony 10) bt HAL 36 (Rajkumar 20).
MEG 45 (Subbaiah 10, Tinu Joseph 10) bt ASC 38 (Gautham 10) (Ht:21-21).
