Student ends life

BANGALORE: Varsha (17) hanged herself at her house in Magadi Road police station limits on Tuesday. The police said Varsha of Rajajinagar industrial area was a first year pre-university student at M.E.S. College in Rajajinagar. She was the daughter of an autorickshaw driver. In another case, Anand (20) hanged himself at his house in Kamalanagar on Tuesday.

The Upparpet police have arrested six persons on the charge of theft and recovered from them three colour television sets, together estimated at Rs. 20,000. The police said the accused had stolen the television sets from hotels in Majestic.
