A treat for cricket fans

For cricket buffs, it was an evening to remember. The Castrol awards ceremony to celebrate 75 years of Indian Cricket was a rewarding experience, both to the elite of Kochi and the young Indian squad Sachin Tendulkar sent the right message to the younger lads when he recalled the stringent coaching methods of Bishen Singh Bedi who was sitting in front of him. “Bedi sir used to punish us asking us to take six rounds of the ground with our bats over our head if we hit a spinner,” he said. Bedi, on his part, hugged Sachin after he came down from the podium.
