Deepavali sale

Krishnagiri: The special Deepavali sale of silk and cotton varieties has begun in the Co-optex showroom here on Wednesday. District Revenue Officer V. Mohanraj inaugurated the sale. A sum of Rs. 35 lakh has been set as sales target for this Deepavali season, he said. The Government has announced a special rebate of 30 per cent on pure silk and cotton varieties. It had stocked silk clothes, including saris worth Rs. 2 crore. People could buy silk saris at price starting from Rs. 2,500, officials said.
