Land acquisition case: hearing adjourned

BANGALORE: The arguments in a case relating to acquisition of land and sites for construction of an expressway between Bangalore and the international airport coming up at Devanahalli, in the Karnataka High Court concluded on Thursday.
Violation
While the State Government defended acquisition of land for the project, the petitioners (Hemachandra and others of Kyasanahalli village in K.R. Puram hobli) claimed that the acquisitions were against the provisions of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act. Besides, it was also against the master plan.
Justice Ajit Gunjal adjourned further hearing on the case to Thursday and orally indicated to the parties that he would pass orders on that day.
