Order stayed

BAnGALORE: Justice Ajit G. Gunjal of the Karnataka High Court on Thursday stayed for four weeks an order of the Information Commissioner directing Haliyal MLA R.V. Deshpande to furnish a list of his assets and liabilities to Suresh.

Mr. Deshpande said that the order of the Commissioner was illegal and uncalled for. Moreover, the petitioner had no cause for seeking such information, he said.
