The Madurai District Retired Officials Association, at its executive committee meeting held recently, thanked the Chief Minister for the pension scheme announced for those who had retired between January 1, 1996 and July 1, 1996. They also thanked him for increasing the festival advance from Rs 500 to Rs 1000. District president A. Subbiah presided over the meeting. — Staff Reporter
