The Pata Basthi Abhivrudhi Porata Committee submitted a memorandum to Krishna district Sub-Collector Gaurav Uppal urging him to conduct an enquiry into allegation that Pratibha, a house surgeon at Government General Hospital, administered injections to nine persons with syringes that were used for HIV patients.

Samithi president N. Srihari and others told the official that the house surgeon was liable for prosecution under Section 304 A of IPC, if she was found to be negligent towards her duties.
