Kakinada: The workers of CPI (ML) New Democracy staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Friday protesting against the alleged police repression.
They raised slogans demanding release of two tribal leaders -- Illa lachireddy and Illa Balreddy -- who were arrested in Deduluru village of Busigudem panchayat in Rampachodavaram mandal last night.
They also demanded withdrawal of combing operation in the agency area and dispense with the undeclared ban on CPI (ML) New Democracy and its affiliate bodies. IFTU district secretary J. Venkateswerlu, AIKMS leaders and others led the dharna.
