Marriage registration

Thiruvananthapuram: The Registrar of Marriages has cautioned people against paying any additional fee for registration of marriages. He said here on Friday that only a certificate fee of Rs. 10 was collected while registering Hindu marriages as per rules in the local bodies. No other fee was collected during registration. Marriages which could not be registered on time were registered with the District Registrar’s permission. Even in such cases, no other fee was collected. — Special Correspondent
