Fake encounter case: two get bail
Special Correspondent
AHMEDABAD: Two accused in the Sohrabuddin alleged fake encounter case, one each from the Gujarat and Rajasthan police cadres, have been granted bail.
Ahmedabad sessions court judge P.B. Bhatt on Friday granted bail to Rajasthan cadre IPS officer M.N. Dinesh Kumar, the then District Superintendent of Udaipur police, and Gujarat cadre Deputy Superintendent of Police N.K. Amin.
While Dr. Amin was arrested only in August after the apex court rejected his anticipatory bail earlier granted by the lower court, Mr. Kumar was in police custody since he was arrested in April along with the principal accused, D.G. Vanzara, and SP Rajkumar Pandian.
