Big score by Karnataka

Bangalore: Karnataka declared its first innings at 545 for eight against Bengal after skipper Yere Goud and Devraj Patil slammed century practice cricket match here on Friday.

At close on the second day, Bengal scored 110 for one in 26 overs with Arindam Das batting on 78.

Earlier, Yere Goud (135 retd., 274b, 16x4, 1x6) and Devraj Patil (103 retd., 158b, 14x4, 1x6) piled on the runs and with Sudhindra Shinde having scored a 148 on the opening day, the host stretched its dominance.

The scores: Karnataka XI 545 for eight decl. in 151 overs (Yere Goud 135 retd., Devraj Patil 103 retd.) vs. Bengal XI 110 for one in 26 overs (Arindam Das 78 batting).
