Arrest warrants issued

KORAPUT: Arrest warrants were issued against F.K. Mohanty, former Commandant of 3rd battalion of OSAP and one of his clerks P.K. Pattnaik by the District Sessions Judge who is also Special Judge of the Vigilance court at Jeypore, in connection with a case of irregularities in constables’ appointment.

The vigilance department was investigating into the allegation and had found that at least 22 candidates secured appointment by producing forged certificates.

Though some of the candidates had not passed HSC examination , they were treated to have completed the examination and in some cases some candidates, who had passed in third division, were shown as having passed in second division, official sources said .
