Khadi sales centre opened in Karur

KARUR: Collector T.N. Venkatesh inaugurated a special khadi sales centre at the Collectorate complex here recently.

He said such centres were being opened in 33 places in the district. Khaddar, silk and woollen items and fabrics were on sale with specified discounts.

Credit facility was also being arranged for government and private sector workers.

By purchasing khadi products, the public could ensure that rural weavers and artisans were assisted.

Assistant Director, Khadi and Village Industries, A.R. Mani and other officials were present.
