TIRUPUR: The Southern Region chapter of Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and Tirupur Exporters’ Association are jointly organising an Open House meet with R.S. Gujral, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and Shyam S. Agarwal, Additional DGFT, on TEA premises here on October 10. G.K. Gupta, president of FIEO, Ajay Sahai, Director General, FIEO, M. Saikumar, Additional Export Commissioner and Zonal Joint DGFT, Chennai, and C. Rajendran, Commissioner of Customs, Coimbatore, will take part.
Bank branch opened
The 39th branch of Central Bank of India in the Coimbatore region was inaugurated here recently. This is the second branch in Tirupur. Tirupur Exporters’ Association president A. Sakthivel inaugurated the branch. The branch will be brought under core banking system soon.
