Saravana scalps six in City’s win

Chennai: Left-arm spinner R. Saravana Kumar took six for 26 to set up City’s eight-wicket win in the three-day under-17 return cricket match against Combined Districts at Puducherry.

Saravana was supported by Shravan Krishnan (three for 35), as Districts, resuming on 72 for four, was dismissed for 133 in its second innings on Friday.

City knocked off the runs required without fuss.

The score: Combined Districts 161 and 133 in 32 overs (Vijay Shankar 62, R. Saravana Kumar six for 26, Shravan Krishnan three for 35) lost to City 246 and 50 for two in 13.2 overs (V. Nishant 31 not out).
