NEW DELHI: Two persons were killed and one sustained serious injuries in separate accidents involving Blueline buses in different parts of the Capital on Friday. Twenty-eight-year-old Vikram of Jehangirpuri fell under the rear wheels of a Blueline bus at Moti Nagar around 11 a.m. while getting off. The driver suddenly started the bus after the traffic signal turned green and Vikram slipped and came under its rear wheels, the police said. The driver and the conductor drove off with the bus plying between Inderlok and Najafgarh. Vikram worked in a printing press in Moti Nagar. In the second case, Nanak Chand (27) was fatally knocked down by a Blueline bus at Tilak Nagar in the afternoon. The victim was riding a motorcycle when the bus plying between Qutabgarh and Old Delhi hit him from behind. He was declared brought dead at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital. The bus driver, Buta Singh, has been arrested on charges of causing death due to rash and negligent driving. In the third accident, Rajiv Chaudhry (35) sustained serious injuries when a Blueline bus knocked him down at Janakpuri in the afternoon when he was crossing the road. A resident of Dabri Extension, the victim was admitted to a nearby hospital with serious head injuries. The driver and conductor of the bus plying between Shahdara and Janakpuri are absconding.
