Eight-year-old girl assaulted

NEW DELHI: An eight-year-old girl was criminally assaulted allegedly by a neighbour at Shahbad Dairy here on Friday. The accused is absconding.

The incident took place around 7-30 p.m. when the man, finding her alone, forced himself on her and then vanished from the scene. The victim was taken to Balmiki Hospital where she has been kept under observation.

The Bawana police have registered a case of rape and launched a hunt for the accused.
