‘Nrityalaya’ to present dance shows

KOZHIKODE: Nrityalaya School of classical dance and music will stage the first in the series of shows titled ‘Parampara’ at a programme to be held here on October 13.

To commemorate 35 years of service in the field of dance under the guidance of Kalamandalam Saraswathy, Nrityalaya will launch its website www.nrityalaya.net Organisers said Parampara series will try to explore and exhibit the endless possibilities of classical dance.

Innovation and variety will mark the shows choreographed by N. Srikanth and Aswathi Srikanth and comprising a 24-member troupe of senior students.

The dance school will invite artistes from different fields to interact with students.

Choreographing of a special thematic production once in four months, to benefit students, is also in the offing.

Murali, actor and president of Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi will launch the Nrityalaya website, it was added.
