Curfew imposed in Nepal district

Kathmandu: Authorities in Nepal imposed curfew in Terai district of Biratnagar after clashes between the police and an ethnic group demanding greater political and economic rights for the community.

Curfew was imposed after activists of the Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum went on the rampage and attacked the police. A district official said the curfew was imposed on Friday night and will continue till further notice. The police fired dozens of rounds of teargas shells. — PTI
