KOCHI: The second Geojit Cup all-India basketball tournament begins at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium here on Monday. Some of the country’s top men’s teams, including ICF, Southern Railway (both Chennai), MEG (Bangalore), Customs and Central Excise (Kochi) and BSNL (Thiruvananthapuram) will figure in the five-day event organised by the Regional Sports Centre. In the women’s section, Central Railway (Mumbai), Southern Railway (Chennai), South Western Railway (Hubli) and KSEB (Thiruvananthapuram) will be in action. A State-level veteran men’s event, which includes host RSC, Thebasco, Powers and Good Morning Club, will also be held simultaneously. — Principal Correspondent
