BHUBANESWAR: East Coast Railway has decided to run special trains towards Hatia and Pondichery to avoid extra rush during Puja season. One pair of weekly Durga Puja Special train would run between Puri and Hatia October 9 to November 21, an ECR release said here on Friday. The Puri-Hatia Durga Special train would leave Puri at 6.20 pm on every Tuesdays during this period and would arrive Hatia next day mornings. Similarly, on return Hatia-Puri Special train would leave Hatia at 9.15 pm on every Wednesdays and would arrive Puri next day, the release said. The special train would have composition of one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tiers, nine sleeper classes, six general second class coaches, ECR said. Similarly, one pair of weekly special train would run between Bhubaneswar and Pondichery from October 12 to November 24. Bhubaneswar-Pondichery Special train would leave Bhubaneswar at 11.45 am on every Fridays during this period and arrive Pondichery at 1.35 pm next day. On the return, Pondichery-Bhubaneswar special train would leave Pondichery at 4.10 pm on every Saturdays during this period and arrive Bhubaneswar at 5.30 pm on the next day. Apart from this, three pairs of super fast weekly special trains would run through East Coast Railway jurisdiction during Durga Puja Holidays from Howrah to Puri, Yashwantpur and Chennai. These trains will have stoppages at different important stations in East Coast Railway jurisdiction.
